In life and in business it is often helpful to have a mantra or guiding words for focus, clarity, and inspiration.
Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever had a specific word or phrase that I’ve used to guide my life. It’s moreover been a feeling or set of ideas. As I continue on this path of wife, motherhood, and entrepreneurship I find it’s increasingly necessary to find direction, focus, and clarity.
With the help of my sister, I’ve discovered my words for 2017.
That’s it? Yes, that’s it. And, it’s so much more than just two words.
I am reminded not to fear the unknown, and knowing that overall the plan is not my own.
-Not to fear that which I can not control.
-Not to fear the opportunities that may or may not be presented.
-Not to fear failure as to fail or stumble means I am making strides, learning and growing.
-Not to fear the judgment of others.
-Not to fear my own strengths and to use them to the best of my ability.
-Not to fear the path set before me and to go where the current leads instead of forcing the path I think is best.
-Not to fear trial, error, and success.
-Not to fear missing out, but instead, being present and enjoying the moments that pass too quickly.
Simply, not to fear, fear.
Wish me luck!
